Living In Social Isolation Is Life-Threatening

Open Table wants to help with its new initiative: The Neighbor Model. A recent study of 88,000 patients found that over 90% were at risk of social isolation. These same patients also showed elevated rates of depression, substance abuse, and various chronic illnesses. 

How can you make a difference?

Open Table is seeking 100 volunteers to send three texts a week to help create space for empathy, kindness, active listening, and encouragement for a neighbor in need. Volunteers will complete three hours of online training (on your own schedule) and commit to sending three texts a week for six months.
